Azucena joined the International Center at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in December of 2016 as an Administrative Support Coordinator. She has been working with Terra Dotta Software to process international travel requests for staff, faculty and students traveling abroad on university business outside the study abroad scope. She also leads the process of requesting foreign travel insurance for all international travelers including all students studying abroad.

Azucena received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Santa Barbara Business College and is in the process of completing her MBA from the same institution. Residing on the Central Coast of California, Azucena enjoys bike-riding with her husband and 3-year-old son, gathering eggs from her chicken coop, playing soccer, going to the movies and weekend trips to Disneyland, Legoland or Sequoia National Park.
